Il collaudo dinamico di strutture particolarmente importanti trova oggi sempre maggiore interesse nel mondo delle costruzioni, mentre si comincia a sviluppare consapevolezza delle possibilità di questo approccio, la cui principale finalità è un completamento del collaudo statico, con informazioni in molti casi di assoluto interesse. Il lavoro presenta alcuni spunti di riflessione a valle di una serie di collaudi dinamici eseguiti su alcune strutture della nuova autostrada BreBeMi.
Applying state-of-the-art dynamic testing protocols for design and construction validation
Dynamic testing of structures for design and construction validation has grown more and more popular in the past few years, due to increasing awareness of the potential of dynamic tests as a powerful tool to gather insight on the service life behavior of relevant structures. Dynamic tests and the interpretation of their results call for a variety of specialized skills, ranging from numerical analysis to data treatment, and for an all-around competent approach to the matter. The present paper discusses a thorough dynamic testing activity carried out as a part of the construction and design validation protocol for five major bridges of the newly opened BreBeMi Highway in Northern Italy, with a focus on the lessons learnt and on some proposals to improve the codified prescriptions for dynamic testing currently enforced in NTC 2008.
