Vengono descritte le principali caratteristiche delle strutture in c.a., c.a.p. e acciaio del terzo anello costruito tra il 1988 ed il 1990. Due sono i temi che caratterizzano l’opera: una semplicità di schemi strutturali e le loro dimensioni alquanto rilevanti. Un terzo parametro che ha giocato fortemente nella progettazione è stato l’esiguo tempo di realizzazione che ha spinto verso una completa prefabbricazione dell’opera.
Molte informazioni sono state raccolte dai documenti originali del progetto e da pubblicazioni ed articoli che furono scritti all’epoca della costruzione. Alcuni spunti vengono anche dalla personale partecipazione ai lavori da parte dell’autore.
In particolare vengono ricordate alcune particolarità del montaggio delle strutture avvenuto tramite le due più grandi gru da cantiere che, al tempo erano le più grandi macchine costruite per il sollevamento di elementi prefabbricati ed erano una delle attrazioni del folto pubblico che seguiva da lontano il progredire della maestosa costruzione.
The main characteristics of reinforced concrete structures, c.a.p. and steel of the third ring that was built between 1988 and 1990, are described. There are two themes that characterize the work: structural schemes simplicity and their rather relevant dimensions. A third parameter that played heavily in the design was the limited time for the realization that has led to a complete pre-fabrication work.
Much information has been collected from the original documents of the project, publications and articles that were written at the time of construction. Some ideas are also the personal participation of the author to the work.
In particular, some details of the structures installation are remembered, made through the two biggest construction crane that at the time were the largest machines built for lifting precast and were one of the attractions of the deep crowd that followed from afar the progress of the majestic building.
