Quasi due anni fa un forte terremoto ha colpito la città dell’Aquila e molti altri comuni nella regione Abruzzo (Italia). Il centro storico della città, ricco di valori storico-artistici, è stato severamente danneggiato dal sisma ed è ancora spopolato. L’articolo illustra la sua attuale situazione, alcune delle problematiche presenti e le attività svolte dall’ITC CNR L’Aquila a supporto delle iniziative che sono state promosse per dare inizio alla fase di ricostruzione.

The situation of the historical center of the city of L’Aquila two years after THE EARTHQUAKE OF 2009
Almost two years ago, a devastating earthquake struck the city of L'Aquila and many other municipalities in the Abruzzo region (Italy). The historical center of the town, rich in historical and artistic value, has been severely damaged by the earthquake and is still unpopulated. The article describe the current situation, some of the issues that are present and the activities carried out by ITC-CNR L'Aquila to support initiatives that have been promoted to start the reconstruction phase.
