Le nuove Norme Tecniche per le Costruzioni (NTC2018) sono ormai in vigore dal 22 marzo 2018. Con riferimento alla sola parte dedicata alla progettazione delle costruzioni in acciaio, si rileva la correzione di alcuni errori presenti nella precedente versione (NTC2008) e si osserva la leggera modifica di pochi contenuti proponendo comunque ancora e solamente una piccola parte di quanto riportato nella normativa europea di riferimento (EC3).
In questa breve nota, pur non essendo ancora completo il quadro normativo nazionale per la progettazione strutturale (mancano la Circolare ed il documento applicativo degli Eurocodici), si propongono alcune considerazioni generali relative alla progettazione delle costruzioni in acciaio secondo le NTC2018, cogliendo al contempo l’occasione per commentare alcuni contenuti dell’EC3, con riferimento anche al suo prossimo imminente aggiornamento.
The new Italian Code for the construction design (NTC2018) has to be mandatorily used since March 22th, 2018. Focusing attention to the sole design of steel structures, it is worth noting the amendments of few errors of the previous edition (NTC2008) and a limited number of changes in the contains. One again, it is proposed only a limited part of the contents of the corresponding European Steel provisions (EC3). Despite the fact that the set of the national provisions is not completed, owing to lack of the applicative NTC document (“circolare”) and of the national documents for the Eurocodes in Italy, few remarks on the design of steel structures in our country are proposed in this short paper, by considering also the contents of the EC3, also with reference to the final draft of the next edition.
